I have never really been in the camp of recording reality with my camera. I use my camera more as a paint brush to reproduce what I see.
Some photographers are very talented in capturing “reality”. Their photographs immortalize a moment In time.
I tend to use reality as a veneer on top of my paintings.
My ongoing series in search of a title (pantographs?, camera strokes?, brush with reality?…){{1}} depicts largely abstract patterns in an attempt to use found scenes and details to evoke something more. Reality is just the starting point<\/p>\n
