Just north of my home in Victoria, BC is Goldstream Park, It is an amazing, calming place to go for a walk and take photos. This image was taken one misty morning. I was enjoying a walk through the park, meditating on the beauty of nature, when I came across a heron. Maybe he too was just resting and getting ready for his day. Maybe he was deciding on what to have for breakfast.

I chose to show the environment around the bird. While I was walking around Goldstream Park, I was feeling awe for the quiet magic of the forest. I wanted the heron to feel the same way in the photograph,
