I actually had a day off, so I went out to Goldstream park to shoot in the rare snow. The snow was quite heavy and wet. And I did not quite dress well enough (read I got soaking wet…) this image was one of the first: It needed a bit of processing as the light was very flat and grey. In fact I had to figure out how to put a bit of sparkle in the snow. Later the sun started to poke out, and I saw this: no sitting today I like the lonely and cold implied. I especially like that you can see the raindrops/melting snow falling. But as I said, I wasn’t really as waterproof as I would like to have been. I was getting set and cold, so I decided to pack up and go home. Especially as I was not sure if I could get my car out (I drove through a bank left by a snowplow to get into the parking lot.), but as I was trudging back, the sun broke out again, and I saw this: I couldn’t leave it. So I unpacked my camera, set up my tripod and took the image. Oh, and yes I did get my car out… Thank you front wheel drive…
