Last week my son and I went for a hike up Lone Tree Hill. (We were actually looking for Mount Work, but due to “technical difficulties{{1}}” we kind of got lost….) This is a nice hike to an elevation of 364 m with a view over the highlands. Since we went up near mid-day, there were lots of shadows in the forest section.

Once we reached the summit, there were actually a few trees, but I had to get an image of a lone tree…

Both of these images work in Black and White. I like the simplicity and timelessness.
